Boy, it's been a long time since I worked on this site. My former PhD supervisor, Piers Hellawell, described website management as akin to raising a child: you have to nurture it, tend to it regularly, or it languishes and even dies. I've certainly let my site languish, though my main reason (excuse?) has been that I've been raising a real child! My wife, Päivi, and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl into the world last June. It's amazing how much attention a tiny little human being demands, but she is truly a joy and already the thing in life of which I am most proud.
As for this site, I've been doing some updating, changing the "Current Projects" page to "News" and using a blog template. Hopefully that'll make it more convenient for me to stay updated! Hope you can bear with me as I figure this whole thing out.
